Cyrus Krussell

Cyrus Krussell, age 27, of Hopkins, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 22, 2026. Cyrus was a loving son, brother, cousin, and true friend. He had a servant's heart and never said no to someone who needed a hand. Loyal and deeply devoted to the people he loved, Cyrus was a true light to everyone he met. He had his own special quirks, but he could strike up a conversation with anybody and leave them smiling. He never judged anyone, and everybody loved him for it.

Cyrus made a lasting impact on the small-town community of Hopkins, where neighbors up and down the street knew him and will miss him dearly. He enjoyed airsoft outings and video games with his buddies, treasured his years in Boy Scouts and the camping trips that came with them, and was a dedicated member of the robotics team for several years. Above all, Cyrus loved the Lord and serving others. He enjoyed his time spent volunteering at church whether working the soundboard or assisting with youth group. He will be dearly missed by so many.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Sandra Cole and Laura Cole, and his grandfather, Thomas Krussell. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Lowell and Sarah Krussell; siblings, Albert Krussell, Benoit and Marie Krussell, Vincentand Makayla Hunderman, Nahum Krussell, and Abraham Krussell; grandparents, Pearl Krussell, Gordon and Valerie Richardson, and Edward Cole; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Georgetown Christian Fellowship, 3668 Port Sheldon St., Hudsonville. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10-11 am at church prior to the service. A luncheon will  follow the service.
